St. Petersburg, Florida will host its largest LGBTQ+ Pride celebration in June 2025, featuring an array of events designed for individuals and families alike. St. Pete Pride’s month-long festivities will culminate in the highly anticipated Pride Parade on June 28, which is expected to draw thousands of participants and spectators to celebrate inclusivity and community spirit.

The St. Pete Pride Parade will kick off at 6 p.m. from Albert Whitted Park, making its way along the scenic Bayshore Drive to Vinoy Park. Preparations for the parade day will start early, with festivities beginning at 2 p.m. at North and South Straub Parks. Attendees can enjoy live music, local entertainers, and explore over 100 booths and vendors offering various goods and services.

Prior to the main parade, a Trans March will take place at 5 p.m., providing a space for the Trans and Non-Binary community to have their voices heard. To facilitate access to the parade, free parking will be available at two locations: St. Petersburg High School and Tropicana Field. Additionally, the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) will offer free rides to St. Pete Pride on designated transit routes.

The vibrancy of the Pride celebration will extend beyond parade day, with a Street Fair scheduled for June 29 in the Grand Central District, running from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Attendees can look forward to exploring over 200 local vendors and enjoying live entertainment. Notably, Central Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic during the Street Fair to enhance the pedestrian experience.

The month of celebrations will feature other significant events, including Youth and Family Day on June 7, where families can participate in activities such as foam parties, family yoga, and the inaugural Pet Pride Parade. Additional highlights of the month include:

  • “Get Nude” on June 14, which celebrates Black queer culture through performances.
  • “Transtastic” on June 18, focusing on the Trans and Non-Binary community.
  • “Womyn in Comedy” on June 21, showcasing comedian Chaunte Wayans.
  • Friday Night Concert on June 27, featuring headliner Durand Bernarr.

The events planned for June are designed to foster a sense of community among LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies, celebrating diversity with resilience and joy. The Grand Central District has been pivotal in hosting St. Pete Pride events since its inception in 2003, transforming the area into a vibrant hub for the LGBTQ+ community.

While many of St. Pete Pride’s events are free, tickets will be required for some activities, including VIP seating options at the parade and various events. This accessibility aims to ensure that everyone can participate in the celebrations, embracing the spirit of inclusivity that St. Pete Pride promotes.

As St. Petersburg prepares for this year’s Pride celebrations, the city continues to showcase its commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community, making this event a highlight of the summer month.
