St. Petersburg’s EDGE District to Debut Sparrow Rooftop Bar This December

St. Petersburg Welcomes New Rooftop Bar, Sparrow, Set to Open This December

St. Petersburg is poised to enhance its vibrant nightlife as the highly anticipated Sparrow, the first rooftop bar and restaurant in the EDGE District, prepares for its grand opening on December 20. Located on the seventh floor of the Moxy Hotel at 1234 Central Ave, this new venue aims to offer both locals and visitors a unique dining and social experience.

A Coastal Elegance Experience

Sparrow occupies an impressive 4,000 square feet and is designed around a theme of “coastal elegance.” Guests will be greeted by a stunning marble bar and an expansive outdoor patio that provides breathtaking views of Central Avenue. The architectural design reflects the spirit of both Central Avenue and St. Petersburg, as expressed by Nicholas Pantuliano, a partner at PTM Partners.

Unique Drinks and Dining Options

The drink menu at Sparrow is set to impress with innovative cocktails such as “Dali’s Surrealist Dreams,” which features a delightful mix of green tea vodka, passion fruit, Lillet Blanc, and lime, served in a glass rimmed with black salt. For groups seeking a communal experience, Sparrow offers shareable, tableside cocktails as part of their “Group Format” selection. In addition, guests can enjoy a carefully curated selection of local craft beers, along with an extensive wine and bottle service.

A Dynamic Atmosphere

As the sun sets, Sparrow transforms into a lively venue with dim lights and upbeat music, providing a perfect backdrop for a night out. Jake Wurzak, CEO of Wurzak Hotel Group, emphasized their goal to create a dynamic dining and nightlife experience in St. Petersburg, akin to their successful establishment in Fort Lauderdale.

Exquisite Culinary Offerings

The food menu at Sparrow further elevates the experience with an array of delectable offerings. Patrons can savor dishes such as baos filled with mushroom, pork, and duck; crispy Korean fried chicken tenders; Thai seared snapper; yellowtail ceviche tostada; and an assortment of fresh sushi rolls. This diverse menu aims to cater to various palates and dining preferences.

Operating Hours and Reservations

Sparrow will operate on Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to midnight, and from 5:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Guests are encouraged to make reservations to secure their spot, which can be done through OpenTable or by calling 727-677-3000.

Conclusion

With its opening just around the corner, Sparrow is set to become a highlight of the Edge District’s nightlife, contributing to the growing reputation of St. Petersburg as a premier destination for dining and entertainment. As local residents and visitors await the launch, the excitement surrounding this new rooftop venue continues to build.
