Hoerbiger Manufacturing Facility Construction
Hoerbiger Corp. has commenced construction of a new 200,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Delray Beach, Florida. This state-of-the-art facility will create around 400 jobs and primarily focus on manufacturing components for the natural gas, hydrogen, and clean energy sectors. Scheduled for completion in 2026, the facility aligns with the growing demand for sustainable energy. This initiative reinforces Hoerbiger’s longstanding commitment to the community and industry innovation.
Delray Beach, Florida, is buzzing with excitement! Hoerbiger Corp. has just kicked off the construction of a shiny new manufacturing facility right at 9888 West Atlantic Ave. This state-of-the-art facility is set to be massive, covering a whopping 200,000 square feet. Once it’s up and running, it will bring a vibrant 400 jobs to the community, making this a great move for local employment!
The new facility is designed to feature 155,000 square feet specifically for manufacturing, while a cozy 45,000 square feet will host office space. This upgrade in size is significant – it’s around 80,000 square feet larger than the current manufacturing center in Pompano Beach that’s been home to Hoerbiger since the late 1970s.
Marked for completion in 2026, this new location will primarily focus on crafting compressor components for the natural gas, hydrogen, and clean energy sectors. With the world shifting towards more sustainable energy sources, this move puts Hoerbiger solidly in line with future industry demands.
Hoerbiger is no stranger to the region, having established a strong presence in the Americas for more than 60 years. The company currently operates in 40 countries and has a workforce of about 6,477 people worldwide. Their ambition doesn’t stop in Florida; this new initiative showcases their dedication to their customers in both North and Latin America.
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County and CareerSource Palm Beach County, among others, this project has gained momentum. The construction will be handled by Butters Construction & Development, based in Coconut Creek, which is spearheading this exciting new business park.
The entire business park sprawls over 23.2 acres, with Hoerbiger’s facility set to be the second phase of this grand development. Initial plans hinted at creating an even larger 300,000-square-foot industrial park, which shows the ambition behind this project. To ensure smooth operations, the facility will work round the clock, thanks in part to a land-use change approved by county commissioners.
Those worried about noise or traffic can take a sigh of relief. Hoerbiger’s facility will maintain a considerate distance from residential areas, thanks to a 12-foot wall and a 70-foot landscape buffer to keep things peaceful for the nearby Dakota community.
As the manufacturing facility gears up to operate, it’s expected that employees will enjoy an impressive annual salary of over $75,000. Deliveries of raw materials, mainly large steel bars, will happen about once a week, ensuring a steady flow of operations without overwhelming the local traffic.
This investment is indeed a win-win for Delray Beach, as it shows Palm Beach County’s capability to support advanced manufacturing and nurture global innovation.
With a remarkable revenue of around €1.416 billion in 2023, nearly $1.5 billion, Hoerbiger is poised to further expand its footprint. Operating across various global time zones will allow the new facility to process orders efficiently, ensuring that the company’s commitment to speed and quality remains top-notch.
So, as construction begins at Hoerbiger Corp.’s new manufacturing facility, the sky’s the limit for Delray Beach! Keep an eye out for more updates, as this is just the beginning of an exciting chapter for the community.
