Harriette was the daughter of Mary Ann Radford and Harry Edward Smith, both of whom predeceased her. She graduated from Clearwater High School and continued her education at Central Florida Community College and Eckerd College. Throughout her life, she was a devoted member of the Unity Church in Bradenton and actively participated in “The Course in Miracles.”

In her personal pursuits, Harriette enjoyed a range of activities, including reading, sewing, playing Scrabble, and engaging in various DIY projects she discovered on YouTube. She had a fondness for watching Hallmark movies and often enjoyed dining at the French Café with her grandchildren. One of her treasured pastimes was engaging in philosophical discussions with her sister, Martha Smith, who resides in Ft. Myers, Florida.

Harriette is survived by her two sons, Brian Angsten (Shannon) of Sarasota, Florida, and David Angsten (Cris) of Trenton, Georgia. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Olivia, Harrison, John, and Gabriella. She is preceded in death by her brother, Edward Sims, and her sister, Ada Smith Gilmore.

In addition to her family achievements, Harriette dedicated herself to serving others, which was evident in her volunteer work at the Ronald McDonald House located at 401 7th Avenue S, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. Memorial donations in her honor can be made to this organization, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping those in need.
