Residents come together to celebrate freedom and unity during the Gulfport Juneteenth Celebration.
Gulfport is set to celebrate Juneteenth with a community event hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Gulfport at Gulfport Beach Pavilion. The celebration will feature traditional treats and a lineup of exciting activities across the area, including music events and craft markets throughout the week. From a Vinyl Record Exchange to a Brewfest and a Historical Trolley Tour, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and participate in, fostering unity and cultural appreciation in the community.
Gulfport is set to celebrate freedom and community unity during its Juneteenth Celebration on June 19, 2025, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Gulfport. The event will take place at Gulfport Beach Pavilion #6 from 5 to 9 p.m. and will feature traditional red velvet cake and red soda as part of the festivities.
In addition to the Juneteenth celebration, the week from June 19 to June 26 is packed with exciting events across Pinellas County. For music lovers, the Vinyl Record Exchange at Salty Pup Coffeehouse & Bakeshop will allow collectors to buy, sell, or trade vinyl records from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on June 20. The Gulfport June Porch Party is also scheduled for June 21, providing a free outdoor screening of the film “Beneath the 12-Mile Reef” at Gulfport History Museum, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The weekend will kick off with the Gulfport Brewfest on June 24, celebrating its 5th anniversary at Gulfport Brewery + Eatery. The event will run from 12 to 4 p.m., offering unlimited tastings from local breweries accompanied by live music; entry is priced at $44. Families can enjoy a fun day at the St. Pete Youth Farm’s Sixth Birthday Bash, featuring games, music, and food from 6 to 9 p.m. on the same day.
On June 22, Gulfport will host its Sunset Craft Market at the Imagine Museum from 5 to 9 p.m. This indoor market will showcase handcrafted goods from local artisans. Later that evening, the Resilient Concert at Jannus Live will feature rock music and is free for military personnel and first responders. The event begins at 7 p.m.
For those who enjoy crafts, the Gulfport Public Library will offer a weekly knitting and crochet group titled “Keep Calm, Carry Yarn” at 10:15 a.m. on June 19. A Lego Club session for children in grades K-5 will also take place at the library at 2 p.m. on June 22, fostering creativity and engagement among young participants.
Community members interested in history can participate in the Historical Trolley Tour, “Rum Runners, Spaniards & Natives,” which will run from 9 to 11 a.m. on June 24. This tour, priced at $35, will explore the rich history of the St. Petersburg area. For those looking to connect with nature, a kayaking adventure class for ages 16 and over will be offered at Coffee Pot Park on June 24 at 6 p.m., but registration is required.
The week also includes lively events such as the Reaction Radio Beachside Party at Mastry’s Brewing Co. from 12 to 7 p.m. on June 25 and the Womyn in Comedy show featuring queer comics at the Museum of Fine Arts from 7 to 10 p.m. on June 24, with tickets available for $20. Music enthusiasts can spotlight local talent at the Jake’s Open Jam session at Cage Brewing where sign-ups start at 6 p.m. with the main event kicking off at 7:30 p.m.
Interactive storytelling aimed at children, titled “Banana Adventures,” will take place at St. Pete Beach Library at 12 p.m. on June 26. Additionally, the Confidential Comedy Show featuring local comedians will take place at the Sunshine City Comedy Club, starting at 8:30 p.m., with a $20 admission fee.
As the week progresses, visitors and residents of Gulfport and surrounding areas will have an array of activities to explore, fostering community engagement and cultural appreciation throughout Pinellas County. With everything from artistic markets to enriching historical tours, there is something for everyone during this week’s festivities.
