Florida is set to host the 2025 Florida Realtors® Convention & Trade Expo on August 25-26, 2025, at the Rosen Shingle Creek resort in Orlando. This major event aims to foster growth and development opportunities for real estate professionals across the state.

The convention will kick off with a special event, REBarCamp, on August 24, leading into two full days of educational sessions and networking opportunities. Governance meetings will take place immediately after the convention from August 27-29, providing additional avenues for attendees to engage in business discussions and planning.

Tim Weisheyer, the 2025 Florida Realtors President, emphasized that investing in growth is crucial for Realtors®, brokers, and agents in the current market landscape. The convention is designed to support this goal by offering more than 35 education sessions that cover important topics such as cybersecurity, marketing ROI, wealth-building strategies, and effectively utilizing technology and artificial intelligence.

Registration Details

Those interested in attending can register online until August 13, 2025. The registration fee for members is currently set at $160, while non-member fees are $185. After the registration deadline, prices will increase to $170 for members and $195 for non-members. Early registration is encouraged to take advantage of the lower rates.

Industry Support

The convention has garnered support from several major sponsors, including the Miami Association of Realtors, Stellar MLS, and the Orlando Regional Realtor Association, among others. These partnerships highlight the importance of collaboration within the real estate community.

Current Market Trends

The real estate market in Florida is experiencing noteworthy trends. Recent data indicates a 2.8% increase in closed sales of single-family homes statewide compared to the previous year. In Orlando specifically, the number of new listings has decreased by 8.4% from May to June 2025.

Home sales in Orlando saw a slight decline of 1.5%, while median home prices have remained stable at $390,000. However, the area is approaching a balanced market with a 5.49 months supply of homes. Active home inventory has also slightly decreased by 1.2% during the same period, currently totaling 13,793 active listings.

Market Stability and Challenges

Despite the increase in inventory for new homes, which has reached its highest level since January 2011 with 13,957 active listings in May 2025, annual sales have declined compared to previous years, indicating a cooling market. Additionally, distressed home sales comprised 1.0% of all sales in June, reflecting an 18.2% increase from May.

The current average interest rate for housing loans stands at 6.7%, slightly down from 6.8%, providing potential homebuyers with modestly improved affordability options. These dynamics illustrate a complex landscape for Florida’s real estate professionals to navigate, making the upcoming convention particularly timely and relevant.

Overall, the Florida Realtors® 2025 Convention & Trade Expo promises to be a significant event for real estate professionals seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge in a rapidly evolving industry.
