Eastern Florida State College President Dr. Jim Richey Honored as Person of the Year, Contract Extended to 2029

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College President Recognized as Person of the Year

In a move that highlights the impressive leadership of Dr. Jim Richey, the Eastern Florida State College (EFSC) Board of Trustees has decided to extend his contract until 2029. Chairman of the Board Ron Howse praised Richey, noting that his ability to listen to the community and local businesses leads to the creation of programs that significantly bolster the economy. “Because of that, we now have nursing programs, flight maintenance programs, and more,” Howse stated. “All these people are hired as soon as they graduate.
