With enhanced security and free transportation services, the event aims to create a safe and inclusive atmosphere for everyone, highlighting the progress of the LGBTQIA+ movement.

St. Petersburg, Florida will come alive with vibrant colors and celebrations during the 2025 St. Pete Pride Parade and Festival, taking place on Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29. This year’s event is set to attract over 300,000 attendees, solidifying its status as one of the largest Pride events in the nation, promoting love and unity among the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.

The festivities kick off on Saturday at 2 p.m. at North Straub and South Straub Parks, where attendees can enjoy a variety of activities including local vendors, food trucks, a DJ, and a beer garden. Both parks will serve as hubs for the main entertainment stages throughout the weekend.

Highlighting the first day is the Trans March, which commences at 5:15 p.m. from Vinoy Park, culminating in unity and support for transgender individuals. The St. Pete Pride Parade will follow at 6 p.m., beginning at Albert Whitted Park and proceeding along Bayshore Drive to Vinoy Park. This lively parade is expected to showcase vibrant floats, community organizations, and colorful displays of pride.

On Sunday, the Grand Central Street Fair will take place from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Grand Central District, featuring live entertainment, hundreds of vendors, local cuisine, interactive carnival games, and street performers. This street fair is a celebration of community spirit and provides an array of activities suitable for all ages.

For those attending, it is important to note that Central Avenue and cross streets between 1st Avenue North and 1st Avenue South will be closed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday to accommodate parade activities. The St. Pete Pier will also experience vehicular traffic and parking closures from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the same day. Free parking will be available at St. Petersburg High School and Tropicana Field lots 6 and 7 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the parade day, with shuttles offered to transport attendees to the parade route.

The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) will provide Free Park & Ride services to assist with transportation to the events. For those looking for a more private viewing experience, tickets for designated parade viewing areas will be available for purchase.

Pets are welcome at the events, provided they are leashed at all times. Organizers will implement security measures including handheld metal detectors at event entrances, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy for hate, discrimination, or threatening behavior to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

The St. Pete Pride events not only celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community but also highlight local businesses and community partners. This year marks a significant occasion for the Grand Central District, known as a prominent LGBTQ+ neighborhood, which has hosted the first Pride parade in 2003.

Additionally, various other Pride-related events throughout June lead up to the festival, such as the “Get Nude” party, “Transtastic” celebration, “Womyn in Comedy” showcase, and a Friday Night Concert, ensuring that the spirit of Pride resonates throughout the month.

The 2025 St. Pete Pride Parade and Festival aims to foster a sense of community, love, and acceptance, creating an unforgettable experience for attendees and underscoring the progress made by the LGBTQIA+ movement over the years.
