New York City is set to host the much-anticipated opening of the Broadway show “Boop!” on Saturday, June 21. This vibrant production features a summer-themed Soca party atmosphere, promising an exhilarating experience for theatergoers. The show boasts performances from renowned acts, including Kes the Band and Trinidad and Tobago’s Anika Berry, alongside an exciting lineup of DJs, namely Mario, Spice, and Ziah.

Ian de Goose Eligon will serve as the emcee for this high-energy event, adding to the show’s lively ambiance. Tickets are currently available with various options catering to different preferences and budgets. Early bird general admission tickets are priced at $50, providing access to the general admission courtyard. VIP tickets are offered for $100, which includes access to a mid-venue front-of-stage VIP section and a VIP bar. For those seeking a premium experience, Ultra VIP tickets are available at $125, allowing entry to an exclusive front-stage ULTRA VIP area complete with VIP tents and tables.

Additionally, the Ultra VIP + Meet & Greet tickets for $150 are limited to just 50 guests, offering a unique opportunity to meet Kes the Band in person. For larger groups, a private Concert View Party Deck is also available for $3,500, accommodating up to 20 guests and featuring a dedicated food and beverage server. Guests holding tickets from the previously unredeemed July 14, 2024, Tampa Bay International Carnival event can use those tickets for “Boop!”, although those who received refunds or charged back their tickets must purchase new ones.

The event is hosted by Ferg’s, and looks to set a festive tone for the summer theater season in NYC. In addition to “Boop!”, Broadway is currently showcasing a variety of productions, including “Elmer McCurdy”, a gripping tale of a historical criminal’s corpse becoming a sideshow feature, and the iconic “Hamilton”, which tells the remarkable story of Alexander Hamilton through a modern musical lens.

Upcoming productions for the 2025 season are anticipated to expand the diversity of storytelling on Broadway, with new musicals and revivals that spotlight global talent and culturally relevant themes. Current performances include the revitalized production of “Cabaret,” featuring Eva Noblezada as Sally and Orville Peck as the Emcee, continuing the legacy of this beloved musical.

Beyond Broadway, the theater scene remains vibrant, with events such as the Gold Coast Jazz Society’s finale, scheduled for May 14, 2025, starring the Luciana Souza Trio at the Amaturo Theater in West Palm Beach. Furthermore, the Grand Oaks Resort near The Villages will launch a dinner show series, including Giselle’s Florence Foster Jenkins Schubertiade during the 2025 Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, catering to both music and theater lovers alike.

The celebration of Haitian Heritage Month is also set for May 9-10, 2025, featuring A GREAT KREYÒL WEEKEND dedicated to arts and cuisine, enhancing the cultural tapestry of events throughout the year. The focus on inclusive storytelling continues to gain momentum, seen in productions like “Real Women Have Curves,” which explores Hispanic culture and the immigrant experience.

Theater enthusiasts are encouraged to stay informed of all available shows both on Broadway and Off-Broadway by following an accessible theatre blog that keeps fans updated on the latest offerings in the vibrant New York City theater landscape.
