ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Savannah Bananas are bringing their brand of baseball to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., next spring, with two Banana Ball games set for May 7 and May 8, 2027.

The Bananas will face the Loco Beach Coconuts, one of the teams that travels with the Banana Ball tour. Game times have not been set, and organizers said more event details will come later. The tour schedule lists the St. Petersburg dates with start times still to be announced and shows the games streaming on YouTube.

Banana Ball is built for entertainment as much as competition. Players break into choreographed dance routines, try trick plays and mix it up with the crowd, and that style has turned the Bananas into a national draw that sells out big-league parks.

Fans should plan ahead, because seats are not sold the usual way. Fans who want to go have to sign up for the ticket lottery on the Banana Ball website, and the entry window closes at 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Oct. 31.

The Trop dates are part of a 2027 tour that also includes stops at VyStar Ballpark in Jacksonville, Truist Field in Charlotte and Petco Park in San Diego, as well as McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas. The Jacksonville and Charlotte stops are also listed as two-game visits, and the Coconuts are the opponent there as well, so Florida fans who miss out on the St. Petersburg lottery have at least one other in-state option. For St. Petersburg, the two nights add another headline event to the stadium calendar, and the games are expected to pull in fans from around Florida.
